VCarve includes the functionality demanded for complex work while remaining incredibly easy to use and affordably priced.
2D File Import - DWG, DXF, EPS, AI, PDF.Text Editing + Single Line Engraving Fonts.Complete set of 2D Design and Layout Tools.Two-Sided Machining & Multi-Sided 3D Simulation. In addition all toolpaths can be previewed to show just how the part will look when it is actually cut, this allows instant feedback to allow toolpaths to be further optimized. Each toolpath includes appropriate options to customize the settings and provide a high level of control for different types of operation. For 3D you can Rough and Finish the model and there are options to project 2D and 2.5D toolpaths onto the 3D surface. The toolpath options cover all typical 2D routing operations such as Profiling, Pocketing, Auto-Inlays and Drilling as well as 2.5D strategies such as V-Carving, Prism carving, Fluting and even a decorative Texturing strategy.
The software can import 2D designs from other programs but also provides a full set of drawing and editing tools. There is also support to import multiple Vectric Clip Art 3D models (V3M) to create 3D assemblies. There are tools for 2D design and calculation of 2D and 2.5D toolpaths and along with the ability to import and toolpath a single 3D model (STL, OBJ etc.).
With Aspire I do it all the time.VCarve Pro and VCarve Desktop provide a powerful but intuitive software solution for cutting parts on a CNC Router. The ‘ Pro ’ edition gives you unlimited job and toolpath size, true shape. You might visit a shop and see how many will run a million line code, without a sample to test it first. VCarve desktop gives you the power to produce complex 2D patterns with profile, pocket, drill and inlay toolpaths, plus gives you the ability to create designs with v-carving textures as well as import and machine unlimited Vectric 3D clipart or single model files.
I have never had a failure of the Gcode being incorrect or looking exactly like the preview, there have been a few "GENIUS" errors, but they have diminished over time. Hands down it is easier to learn, use, and get your head around than any of my other programs. The D & C disks have more than paid for themselves in the tutorials, and the models.Īspire is not the only CAD/CAM program that I own, but it is the only one that I use for signs and 95% of my 3D carving.
Build it three dimensionally and show them exactly how it will look when it is finished. You can tell your customer to find any style of sign on the internet, they like, or have seen, and you can custom make them a sign that is more appealing. If you are making signs and some art, you will soon learn the power of Aspire if you have it. The Design and Carve series are educational and very usable, in many things.
